Plot

In the special, S.D. Kluger (voiced by Fred Astaire, reprising his role from the "Santa Claus" special), answers questions concerning the origins of the Easter Bunny, whose real name is Sunny (voiced by Skip Hinnant), who was adopted by the citizens of Kidville, a town where only children live; and how he helped bring happiness to children, starting with young King Bruce the Frail, who rules a nearby, gloomy town (similar to Sombertown) called Town. However, the King's aunt, the evil Duchess Lily Longtooth (similar to Burgermeister Meisterberger) also reigns as regent, until such time as young Bruce comes of age. Another similarity, Gadzooks the bear, is a bad character who turns good with help of Sunny (a la the previous film's Winter Warlock).
